CrossFit Howick: The Place to Become Your Best Self

A lot of people who join CrossFit Howick have one goal in mind: to become stronger and to start looking and feeling beautiful. What they don’t realise is the fact that they came in looking beautiful and strong and we just enhance that! Confidence must be built up on the inside first, and then it will show on the outside. Eating healthy, being active, being in the company of other like-minded folk, having a positive mind-set, taking time out to meditate and believing in yourself are all factors that can help you on your path to greatness. At CrossFit Howick, we do exactly that.

CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All of our workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life.

We believe that intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time or power. The more work you do in less time, or the higher the power output, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness.

Overall, our aim at CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness supported by measurable, observable and repeatable results. The program prepares trainees for any physical contingency – not only for the unknown but for the unknowable, too.

Our motto: Our specialty is not specialising.

Testimonial

“I joined CrossFit Howick in the beginning of February 2019. After three weeks I took part in the CrossFit Open, where I never felt so supported and strong in my lifetime. Since then I have gained more strength and confidence in myself and courage in my workouts. CrossFit has really become my passion and there is nowhere I would rather train. At CrossFit Howick, I have found my home and family.” – Helen Wakeford
