Mom and daughter team Fay and Megan have built Image Insured to empower people to look their best, which in turn, brings a new sense of self-worth and healthy self-esteem.
The business was established 40 years ago, when Fay trained as an Image Consultant with an international Canadian company called Colours in Harmony, and Megan was just a baby. As the youngest of five girls and growing up on a farm, Fay acknowledged that she had absolutely no idea how to look good. Then one day, she had her colours done and said she started getting compliments for the first time in her life!
After Megan completed her marketing degree, she went on to win Miss South Africa in 2006, and then joined her mom in business and together they started Image Insured. The business has grown from strength to strength over the years and they now have a dynamic team of staff that help them run their online store and their beautiful shop in Kloof.
“We offer online consults to our clients all over the world, and we also have clients who fly to us from all over South Africa on a weekly basis, because we really do offer one of the best services out there!” says Megan.
“For most of us trying to look good is simply ‘guesswork’, and we have found that most people spend a fortune on wrong colour clothing, hair and make-up, wasting a lot of money,” says Fay. “A consultation with us is simply the price of one bad mistake and you’re on track forever!”

Each item of clothing is carefully designed by Fay and Megan and produced locally in Durban. It is the first colour co-ordinated clothing range in the country where each style is produced in a colour to suit each different season.
