As I stepped inside, the grandiose chandelier hanging from the high ceilings in the foyer caught my eye. It’s a true showpiece that you can’t miss. The receptionist welcomed us with a warm, inviting smile before we ventured to our room. Our suite was spacious and well-appointed, featuring two king-size beds and a modern bathroom with a beautiful free-standing bathtub. Each room has a TV, and we could even log in to our Netflix accounts to enjoy our favourite movies and series. We were also treated to a lovely welcome platter with fresh fruit, nuts, and biltong.
After settling in, it was time to explore the grounds. A highlight was their sparkling pool, surrounded by a European-inspired outdoor seating area. I was impressed by how the hotel seamlessly blends classic elegance with modern comforts, catering to both families and business travellers with top-notch amenities that exceeded my expectations. The hotel’s history intrigued us. The original building had around 30 rooms. After ANEW Hotels & Resorts took over in 2019, they renovated and added a new wing, now offering a total of 97 fabulous rooms. If you’re planning any sort of event, you’re in good hands as the hotel boasts eight conference rooms, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and successfully for your seminar, wedding, or group gathering.

We opted for the mouthwatering beef brisket and oxtail with mashed potatoes, as well as a succulent pork belly with a spicy ginger glaze and mashed potatoes. It was absolutely delicious!
