Turn Your Wedding Celebration Into A Destination Escape

Brahman Hills in Nottingham Road is a one-of-a-kind experience. It attracts not only locals but also visitors from far and wide to indulge in and replenish themselves with all it has to offer. However, it’s got that special something that has made it a top choice for bridal couples. It’s one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the KwaZulu-Natal, Midlands. This comes as no surprise because it’s truly a space that offers the whole package, from majestic mountain views and the scenic splendours of the surrounding countryside, to world-class facilities, international award-winning gardens, and a dedicated team at the ready to assist with the entire wedding planning process, whether it’s an intimate gathering or a larger celebration.

Any bride will be in the best hands at Brahman Hills. Hosting over 70 weddings each year, the team prides itself on delivering the highest quality in all they do. “What truly makes us a great venue is that we’re not just a venue; Brahman Hills is an experience. The property offers spa treatments, garden and art walks, exquisite dining, and luxurious touches that turn a wedding celebration into a destination escape. Couples don’t just get married here; they create memories that last a lifetime,” explained Executive Director, Onwaba Gonyora.

The property offers two distinct venue collections, namely the Lake House Chapel, which is an “elegant and light-filled ceremony space”, and the more sophisticated Glass House Reception Venue, set in their gardens. It can accommodate over 100 guests. For smaller celebrations, the Cove Chapel and Oasis Reception Venue are ideal and accommodate 50 to 100 guests. The underground Cove Chapel offers a romantic ambience, including textured stone walls overlooking a tranquil water feature and scenic countryside hills.

The accommodation options make wedding preparations effortless. With space for up to 120 guests across the hotel and villas, the bridal parties don’t have to worry about excess travelling and can get everything done on-site. The Hotel is ideal for families and friends who wish to have easy access to the main venues. The luxury villas, set within the Blue Crane Nature Reserve, are perfect for the bridal party and families who wish to stay closer together with more than enough space, all modern amenities, beautiful views, and, of course, outdoor jacuzzis.

Exquisite dining is ensured for any wedding celebration at Brahman Hills, carefully curated by the in-house culinary team. Everything from elegant canapés, buffet menus, harvest tables, and signature desserts to snacks, including pre-wedding dinners at either of their two signature restaurants, the Skyfall Bar Lounge, or the Oasis Venue. Bridal couples can also enjoy a complimentary menu tasting of their selected dishes four to six months before their wedding.

While Brahman Hills goes above and beyond in wedding planning and hosting, they also have their sights set on sustainability and community development. This is at the heart of what they do. They are 85% off-grid and powered by their own fully equipped solar field, supply fresh produce straight from their gardens (a chemical-free zone), provide safe-to-drink borehole water, convert food waste into Bokashi compost, and they’ve planted 1,000 indigenous trees across the property during the last two years. “This dedication has earned Brahman Hills recognition as the KwaZulu-Natal Top Business Award Winner in the Renewable Efficiency – Green Initiatives Category, an honour that reflects our ongoing efforts to lead with purpose and integrity,” explained Onwaba. Furthermore, “At Brahman Hills, every wedding contributes to something bigger – a story of sustainability, community, and care. It’s where luxury meets purpose, and where every celebration becomes part of a legacy that will endure for generations to come.”
