After returning home from working on the yachts for five years, and noticing a gap in the market, 27 year old Nicky Cawood decided to use what she had learned from working in a five-star industry in the US to fill a gap in the market here in the Midlands, and so Service Excellence was born! Nicky trains and hires out her waitering staff for weddings and corporate events in and around KZN, providing caterers and venues with fantastic waitering staff to serve food and drinks. “Our family knew of a group within the local community that was in a constant search for job opportunities but lacked experience within the careers they chose to study. They have always been in the back of my mind”, Nicky says. She uses her platform to train and up-skill the youth in her community, so that they can find jobs in the hospitality industry and earn a living. Service Excellence has waiters and barmen available for synchronised service banquets, sporting events, big concerts and weddings, and they are all about providing an amazing service experience. As a local business, the community in the Midlands is so important to Nicky, and she loves being able to empower the local residents while providing a fabulous service!
