Café Classic opened in July 2014, and they are no ordinary service station café. You will notice something quite special about them from the moment you walk through the door!
Starting with the most important thing, their Café Classic Coffee is roasted as per strict instructions ensuring that they have the very best cappuccino in the area. All of their delicious cakes and teatime treats are made right here on-site in their kitchen. Try the famous lemon meringue pie, chocolate ganache cake or carrot cake, not to mention their monster muffins – both savoury and sweet! Café Classic’s specialities include all-day breakfasts and the one and only vetkoek – with a choice of filling or maybe as a vetkoek burger. Lunches are simple soul food with specials on certain days, such as lasagne and salad on Thursdays for just R65 – a hearty and warming meal. Try a home-baked pie, chips and gravy, or a jaffle and salad.
Café Classic has expanded their seating area to include a lovely enclosed garden setting with umbrellas and a kiddies playground that includes a jungle gym and sandpit Jeep. Here is what some of their customers have to say:
“Pleasant, quick service and the cakes are homemade and yummy. They also have good coffee.” – Jack van Zyl
“I had my first visit to Café Classic last week. It is a lovely café with an indoor and outdoor seating area. There is also a separate dining area with doors which can be used for private dinner parties or team lunches. It’s pet-friendly (if seated outside) and there is also a play area for the kids! They provide good service with a smile, which is rare to find these days. Thank you, ladies! I would definitely recommend a stop by if you haven’t been there yet.” – Leesha M
“I had a lovely visit – it’s a hidden gem.” – Shannon Dommett
