A World of Learning
In just two years, Carlyle College has evolved from a promising educational vision into a thriving independent school redefining learning in the KZN Midlands. Since 2023, our growth has been remarkable—not just in student numbers but in the depth of our academic offering, co-curricular opportunities, and forward-thinking approach to education.
One of our most exciting milestones has been the expansion into dedicated classrooms for every grade. This achievement is a testament to the increasing demand for a progressive education that balances academics with real-world relevance. We’ve also welcomed a significant number of new educators, forming a 2025 team with a wealth of experience, ready to challenge outdated curricula with innovation and passion.
Beyond academics, Carlyle College has been making a name for itself in sport and co-curricular activities. With the arrival of Colin Hulett, our Head of Sport and Co-Curricular, we’ve begun implementing a fresh, dynamic sports strategy that not only benefits our students but also extends into the wider Nottingham Road community. Colin has been consulting with us from the UK and will be relocating to Nottingham Road in the second term.
Our boarding offering, set to open in 2026, is already attracting interest from families who value both our nurturing environment and the unparalleled opportunity for young students to develop independence and resilience. Meanwhile, new educational initiatives are providing students with real-world exposure to environmental conservation, aviation, and entrepreneurial thinking—ensuring that learning extends beyond the classroom and into meaningful, practical experiences. We are actively forging relationships with industry leaders and businesses, giving students valuable exposure and opening doors to a world of opportunity. By the time they leave our gates, they will have the skills and confidence to pursue their passions with purpose.
Carlyle College’s growth isn’t just about numbers—it’s about impact. We’re not simply expanding; we’re moving forward with purpose, ensuring that the education here is always relevant, engaging, and designed for the future.
