Built on Care Connected by Community

At the heart of this vision is founder Tim Gibson, whose inspiration came from the values he experienced growing up in farming communities. “The old-fashioned values that exist within farming communities are really timeless,” he says. “We wanted to create a space in which a community could thrive.”
Five years have shown that communities aren’t built when the first foundations are poured; they’re built when people begin to feel they belong.

Life at Amber Glades is shaped by the moments residents share every day. Whether enjoying group activities, pursuing favourite hobbies, joining social gatherings or simply catching up with neighbours over a cup of coffee, there are countless opportunities to connect. It’s through these everyday interactions that friendships grow naturally and many residents rediscover a sense of confidence, connection and purpose – something fondly referred to as the “Glades Glitter Effect”. It’s not about changing people, but about creating an environment where they can flourish.

Amber Glades also remains committed to helping residents continue living life on their own terms. Through its ageing-in-place philosophy, care evolves alongside each resident, with personalised support provided in the comfort and familiarity of their own home whenever possible. Residents can remain surrounded by the people, routines and environment they know and love. It is an approach that values independence, dignity and peace of mind, offering the reassurance that support is always there when it is needed, while allowing every resident to enjoy each stage of life with confidence.

As Amber Glades celebrates five years of building a caring and connected community, it also looks ahead to the next chapter of its story. The introduction of the Country Cottages reflects the same vision that has guided Amber Glades from the very beginning: creating a place where people don’t simply move house; they find a place to belong. Thoughtfully designed to complement the established village, the Country Cottages will welcome new residents into a community where meaningful connections and compassionate care have become part of everyday life.
